Bout time

for another blog I figure. Anyways, life is good, I'm just about to go into work. Thats pretty exciting... I guess... mostly cuz I'm working the BYU vs Utah State game which is gonna be huge, so thats pretty cool. Mostly I'm just happy to get hours in.
Anyways, currently I am eating a cookie that is super good! Oatmeal is my favorite! (Thanks Sherry!) And I had waffles for breakfast so I think today is going to be a good day. Im still in a "happy to be alive" state after being sick, plus its not snowing anymore so things are looking pretty good. Its weird how it takes being sick to make you realize how good it is just to be feeling non-sick.
Anyways, so Jonathan tells me that him, shaun and some other people are going camping at the beach... and I am jealous. The beach is like my favorite place ever, I dont know why cuz I always get sunburned, salt in my cuts and sand in my shorts but somehow its all worth it.
Well, I got to go to work now so...
this is the end of

Just keep Bloggin

at least that is my goal for the moment. Anyways, I am just getting over being sick, and I hate being sick. It makes me get behind in my classes, I try to sleep more but I never sleep well when I'm sick so life is just super miserable being sick. So I am glad that I am almost done with it. Currently I am jumping back and forth between a runny nose and a headache. At the moment I have a headache. On a side note, I have the craziest dreams when I am sick, I swear, its like my brain doesn't want to shut off so it plays mind games with me while I am half asleep! not very fair. Like the other night, I had dreams of having wars between protestants and catholics, both ended up taking each other out, then I took over land (like 10 acres)in Portugal and got a huge box of bread (that was doughy on the inside) but I couldn't mail it because the I didn't have a big enough box so eventually I set it sail in the ocean. (crazy right) Anyways, somewhere in the middle of that I also had a dream that Shaun and Katie were getting married, so when I woke up I was like super confused, my head hurt and I was not doing good. Whats lame is that I had to go to class because I had a paper to turn in and It took me forever (I don't know how it turned out because I finished the thing in a delusional state, I just hope the teacher is sick when grading it, then it might make sense) So after class, while still feeling funny, I check my email to find an email that (in very colorful letters and stuff) Shaun was getting married. I was actually pretty upset when I saw this because I thought that I might be still asleep which made me really mad because if I felt this bad in my sleep then... Aaaa... anyways. It wasn't until I saw the second email (the one that was less colorful) that I realized that I was really awake, that I could now go home and go back to sleep and that Shaun was really getting married. Like triple the happiness right? So the way home a happy trip despite the snow.
Anyways, that is my sick story. Moral? I am just glad to be back to normal. (and that Shaun is getting married)

Anyways...

Anyways, I haven't posted a blog in a while so I figured I probably should. My dilemma has been (at least for the past 5 minutes) has been whether to post this post on the family web page blog thing and just abandon this one, or to keep the two separate. I still think it would be easier for people to see it if it was on the family page... but I've already got this one going... life is so difficult when making decisions... I guess ideally I should figure out a way to attach this blog to the family site. One day maybe.
Anyways, so the other day I was playing around on my computer... doing homework or something... and my wireless mouse stopped working, like just after I dropped it... -side note, I always drop my mouse... probably not a good thing- but it stopped working! I got a little depressed, I tried like everything, repluging it in, pressing the reset button, taking the battery out and then putting it back in... nothing worked. So, somehow I got the the idea that the lazer in the mouse was askew somehow and that if I banged it hard enough in the right place it would work again... -I think it was late and I was tired- so I started just banging my mouse around, throwing it on the floor and hitting it every way I could think of and then I would see if it worked... it never did... so eventually I got into my head that "all well, its broken... might as well operate on it" -not a good idea- but I got out my little pocket knife and started cutting out parts when I realized that I should probably change the battery, -genius right?- and sure enough, when I replaced the battery it worked. Thats the amazing part! It worked! After all I had just put it through it was a faithful little mouse and held on to life, I'm convinced, its a good mouse.
Moral of the story... when its late and physics homework has drained you of all common sense, don't try to fix things, just wait till tomorrow.

And on comes the winter...

Well, fall semester has come and gone, the leaves have all fallen and the snow has come down... (this sounds like a book or something) Anyways, I just got through the first day of all of my classes and for the most part I think I am going to have a great winter semester. There is one class that scares me and its western political heritage... it sounds interesting but after the first day I must admit I am a little scared. Its gonna be a lot of work. Last semester I took 13 credits and got a 3.55 GPA, which actually makes me mad because I got a 89% in my morals class... SO close! but I also got a B in my calculus class which makes me happy, so I guess it evens out.
After Christmas break I came back to BYU and oh my it was cold... like really cold. Good thing I have sweet boots, good sweaters, a scarf, benie and awesome ear muffs/headphones to keep me warm. I went to my first class on Monday without any ear protection and holy smokes, I thought my ears would break off they were so cold. It was mostly so cold because the temperature was below freezing and there was a good strong wind (the kind that blows snow into your eyes so hard it hurts) but today its much better.
So at the start of the semester EVERYONE goes food shopping and book shopping. Well blasted, everyone means me too and also super long lines with little selection. At the creamery (because that is the closest place to walk to and no one wants to drive in the snow) I went to get eggs and there was only one carton left... and I couldnt find any top rommin. So I had to stand in line forever just for a gallon of milk and eggs. Kinda depressing. But other than that life is great.
Anyways, Thats me at school...

Due to popular demand, and a little extra time,

I am giving another update. I was just gonna hold off on those cause I'll be home next week but I guess people start to worry when I don't send an email out or something. I've just been busy. This week I had two tests, one in Cs 100 and one in Calc 2, two papers, both for my moral leadership class plus a project that we are supposed to be doing but my group and I are a little behind, plus another paper due on Monday in book of Mormon class. On top of that I have work, which is actually relaxing compared to the rest of my life at the moment, plus in Calc 2 we are studying Power Series along with Taylor and Maclaurian series. The teacher spent the whole class time lecturing on these things and it was all way over my head, I just took note furiously and hoped to get it later. Its coming... slowly. So other than that life is great, the BYU vs UTAH game is tomorrow... so thats pretty exciting. Even more exciting is that thanksgiving is next week... and I get to go home and ride dirtbikes and sleep on the trampoline and watch movies and whatnot... It will be great.
Ok, whats with our family and facebook, its like everyone all at once decided to get a facebook account... first of all, since when would our family do that? thats like completely not what we do... second of all, I got like fifty billion "Your Related!" requests that if you say yes you have to fill out all of the other fifty billion people you are related to and that takes forever, and if you say no it keeps popping back up! Aaaa.... not to say in anyway that you guys should like stop using facebook to keep in touch and all... its great for that... I just have to make a request... please no more "Your Related" requests...
Sincerely,
James

life... (continued)

Well life keeps moving on, midterms are now over but finals are just around the corner. I still need to go food shopping, I haven't done that for over a month... its hard not having a car. I also discovered that I need to buy myself a new pair of jeans, my favorite ones (I bought them off Shaun for 5 bucks over a year ago) I can hold up to the light and literally see through them, they have a few more holes than they used to... its so sad, such a good pair of jeans. Anyways, Its raining right now (...blasted weather...) just enough that I busted out my umbrella, and its just cold enough I wanna wear a jacket. So ya.
Richard went to the MTC Wednesday, it seems like he is leaving but really he is closer to me than when he lived at home... weird. Anyways, I went to the call center on Sunday... almost expecting to see Richard but I was disappointed... I guess the MTC is bigger than just the building that the call center is in. All well...
Anyways, it turns out that I will be coming home for Thanksgiving. I was asked quite a few times about that and i told everyone no because I didn't really wanna bother with finding a ride, paying for gas and traveling in a packed car with weird people i don't know. It wasn't something I would look forward to. But just out of curiosity, I checked the ride board to see who was going to Sacramento, and lo and behold, the Heathcoats were the first ones to pop up. what a coincidence, people i know. (funny story... so that conference a while back, where the apostles talked about prop 8, I was sitting in a room full of people in the chapel behind myself just waiting for the meeting to start, thinking to myself that i didnt know anyone there -since I was actually not at my assigned meeting place- and I overhear the voice behind me expressing exactly the same thing that I was thinking... and so i turn around to find that the voice was john Heathcoat... Its a small world) So i called them up and talked with Jennifer for a bit, it turns out that they are driving a Hybrid...(so it saves on gas) plus with lowing gas prices it wont be too much for me to handle to drive down an extra time.
So thats it for me, for now.... stay tuned, I'll have more updates later (and pictures too)

What Luck!

Ok... so the other day I was in my room about to go to sleep, when I see this rubix cube on my roommates desk, so just for kicks I start messing with it and in like a minute I had only three colors out of place... so I start to try and finish it but after a few tries of screwing it up I decide to just put it back with the 3 colors out. So I get it to where i thought i had it but when I looked at it I jumped back -almost dropping the cube- IT was Solved! By accident.. pretty cool. Then on the way to class this morning, I was just walking -zoned out completely- to class, but because I wasn't paying attention I went the wrong way and there were these people just giving out doughnuts and hot chocolate! Amazing! (sure i was late for class but the teacher was just telling a funny story, the people beside me filled me in) Anyways, then when i went home, Lo and Behold I found that Sherry had sent me a package full of goodies! Whoa, with this luck, I just know I'm probably going to get a calling or something... Its just going to happen... thats the way life works.
